Quality assurance (QA) is a wide-ranging concept covering all matters that individually or collectively influence the quality of a product. It is the totality of the arrangements made with the objective of ensuring that the manufactured products are of the quality required for their intended use.
Quality assurance therefore incorporates several factors and it is an integral part of all key activities in the product supply chain.
The main Factors are :
Raw materials
The quality of raw materials used to manufacture the product is critical in determining the quality of the finished product. Therefore, sources and quality of the raw materials must be assessed to ensure that they meet regulatory and international quality standards.
Quality control
The finished product must pass internal quality control testing performed by Ace before submitting the final samples / inspection report to the buyer.. Subsequently, once the product is approved the production is carried out in accordance to the approved product. In addition, once the manufacturer has been selected for procurement, the product must pass the In-Line, Mid-Line & Final Inspections carried out by Ace Quality inspectors.
Manufacturing process
Through meetings & training, our team help the manufacturers to establish the most efficient & productive production process by fin tuning all aspects with regard to the production of the product. The manufacturing site and process used for the product must comply with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements, as evidenced by GMP certificate and/or inspection report issued by the Ace QA Team: The Team Regularly keeps in contact with the factory through regular follow ups & factory visits to ensure that there is no deviation from the agreed process & times lines.
Packaging and labelling
The packaging components are developed by our designers and QA team keeping in mind the buyer's guidelines. The developed packaging should be suitable with respect to safety of materials, compatibility of the materials with the finished product, and protection from moisture and other external factors to ensure that the product does not get damaged during transportation and storage. Labels and product information should be provided in the appropriate format and comply with the regulatory requirements of the country where the product will be used. Labels should contain information on Product care & composition.
Customer approval
The QA team is responsible to obtain approvals from the customer on the samples & the inspections carried out during the complete process. Once the team has approval from the customer the final Inspection ( FRI ) is carried out with reference to the quality level acceptable to the customer along with the approved samples. Our Team also makes sure that the product is tested by external NABL accredited labs to ensure that it meets the acceptable standards of Quality as agreed with the manufacturer.
Transportation and distribution
The QA department is also responsible to ensure that the goods are packed in such a way that they do not get damaged during transit to the final destination. To check the quality of the final Cartons the QC carries out Drop Tests & Carton Quality assesment. Their responsibility also includes checking if there is any damage to the container and whether it is free from excessive moisture. Once all this is ensured, our team performs Container Loading Inspections ( Wherever required )
To Summarise, the following are the benefits of the QA Process:
· Enhanced and improved product quality
· Product evaluation & Validations
· Artwork and Packaging development/Approvals
· Inspections
· Lab Test management
· Managing sample & Production approvals
· Minimize the risk (Product re-call, Returns and complaints.)
